CANADIAN CONFERENCE OF CATHOLIC BISHOPS (CCCB):

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PAST YEAR

Founded in 1943 and officially recognized by the Holy See in 1948, the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) is the national assembly of the Bishops of Canada.
The Bishops of Canada are the members of the Conference. Through them, the CCCB is involved in various national and international issues, while working closely with the Holy See, other Episcopal Conferences and in partnership with other organizations. To assist them in this work, the Bishops have a permanent, bilingual secretariat, based mainly in Ottawa, and which includes various offices and services. A staff of approximately 30 has helped the Bishops in the following joint activities over the past year.
